My mother's cat just had kittens today. (Unfortunately, I won't be able to see them until at least May--when my semester ends--darn! She lives in an entirely different state.)
Will the kittens need some kind of food other than their mother's milk? This is assuming that they're nursing all right.
My father used to think the same thing, until we moved to an urban area. He nearly hit a cat crossing the road one day, and hasn't let our cat outside ever since.
