I've put food down for kittens at 3 or 3 and a half weeks before and had 1 or 2 from a litter dive straight into it! But that is more rare and usually nearer the 4 week stage (my litter of 3 at the moment are 0% interested in it and they are going to be 4 weeks on Sat !)

Thanks to everyone for their replies. Took the little one to the vets and was told that thankfully it looks like there is nothing physically wrong with him. I was told to try and keep his legs in the proper position whenever he tries walking and if it is still the same in a weeks time then to go...

Vicky, going by experience you would expect kittens to have doubled their birth weight by the end of week 1 and will put on approx 10-20g a day. I weighed ours yesterday and they were 109g/122g/132g and i tend to weigh them every other day.
