    Ugh, need help :-/

Apartment is too small to be able to do that, she can hear him no matter where he is, and it won't stop him from holding it in until he can leave a **** in front of her door.

    Ugh, need help :-/

The choice is not mine, and my mom isn't willing to put in the effort, and as I won't be able to take the cat in myself on my own for quite possible another half a year, there's not a lot I can do :-/

    Ugh, need help :-/

My previous thread seems to have vanished, but I've ended up taking in a cat that walked into my apartment about two months ago, and I brought it home in at that time against my better judgement. Basically, since then, my boss has had me on a constant travel schedule (I was home for four days in...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

I already took him to the vet, he got a clean bill of health this week. I decided to play hardball, and I closed him out of the bathroom, and he doesn't want to go on the carpet (I smelt him sniffing it at lot, but no go). He finally went in the litter box and buried it! I hope this behavior...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Having done a few short car trips, he's not one to travel well in the car unfortunately. If I let him loose, I suspect he'd do better, but he doesn't like being in a box. Unfortunately, the liter box issue is what's going to make or break this cat; my mom won't tolerate me having a cat that...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

*sigh*, I thought I had the problem solved, but after I came back after 28 hours of being gone (emergency trip), I found little piles littering the bathroom, and only urine in the litter boxes. I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point beside call the vet. (in other news, he looks very...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Unfortunately, no, I watched him do it :-/. He croched in the pooping position and let it go right on the floor but he's using his litter boxes now. Not sure what specifically solved the problem, but I'm happy.

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Urine is going in the box, its only feces that is being put to the side, and then, only some of it (I found some well buried in the box I cleaned out). If its a UTI, its a very strange one. EDIT: He wants to go outside badly. His tail is thrashing badly, and he keeps looking out the window. I...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Sorry for no updates for awhile. I'm honestly convinced that he's upset, as he's started only partially using the litterbox, and using the corner instead. I have tried enezyme remover, and I now have two litter boxes, but I'm not sure the problem been solved. He's been meowing at the door, so...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

I did, and the vet showed me how to apply it, although I'm not sure I did it correctly *sigh*. The vet also confirmed I had the right dewormer for the worms kitty coughed up. Only thing I can do now is wait, and in a few weeks, bring in another stool sample and see if the worms are dead.

Had a stray walk in my door ...

So, we went to the vet, and I found they gave me dewormer, and due to miscommunication, I never applied it thinking it was flea meds ... */cat owner fail* So I applied the topical dewormer, but I'm not sure its working, it kinda dried on kitties fur after several hours, and I'm not sure how its...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Looks like my concerns were justified. Kitty puked all over the carpet, and it looks like he has flatworms. Called Scottsvile, and made an appointment, and i got the worms in a baggy (ugh, possibly one of the more nasty things I've ever done in recent memory). Also, anyone got any advice for...

Had a stray walk in my door ...

Ok, now I'm a bit worried. Kitty's last bowel movement was a bit soft and looked kinda watery, but I can't tell if that's because he urinated in the same spot or not. He also failed to bury it. Its possible I caused this by changing from packs to cans (Walmart was sold out of the packets I was...

Do you feel your cats are treated differntly because they are "rescue"

I can understand her viewpoint, even if I don't agree. TNR isn't a magic bullet; it takes time to trap the cats, costs money to fix them, and then doesn't remove the cats from the area. For people who want solutions yesterday, this isn't very appealing at all :-/

    kitty dump sos

ugh :-/. With it being kitty season, this problem is going to get worse and worse. I'm not sure I can help foster much due to my current living conditions ATM, although while I'm in the area, I work from my apartment (or anywhere else with an internet connection and can help bottle feed).
