    Sick Persian Kitten

I wasn't replying to the orgional post, I was replying to the post I quoted. And I run a rescue and when you rescue you run the risk of having problems. Cats who come in to rescues are more likely to have problems.

    Question for a breeder....

She isn't "just a seal torti" because she is pointed. She just has a lot of shadeing. As pointed cats get older they often darken up and thats why you see her markings all over her body, a seal torti would be much, much darker.

Breeders do not breed cats with health problems...I take that back, good breeders do not breed cats with health problems. Responsible and careful breeding results in healthy cats. I have the most beautiful Himalayan Persian in the world and she has no health problems whatsoever. When you...

    Sick Persian Kitten

Some rescuers take their practices too far and believe that ALL cats should be neutered or spayed. I rescue cats myself (but don't breed) and there is nothing wrong with responsible breeding. Yes, when breeding you do ocassionally get animals with problems (and not just animals, people too)...

I would isolate the kitty until you can get it to a vet, some cats are just sneezy all their life. Brachycephalic cats have a tendincy to have trouble shaking off URI's. I have an Egyptian Mau who has always been very sickly, she has an enlarged heart, severe malocclusion, deformed nasal...

    breeders of orange cats

Exactly, one is closer to the standard, therefore his coloring is more of what you want on that particular cat. If you had two red Abys who are identical other than their coloring, one has a deep, rich color and one has a sort of washed out color the deep one is better. Sure, you can show the...

    new here - pregnant cat

In my opinion there is no need to get them speutered this early, purebreds tend to take the surgery a little more difficult and are less hardy then mixed breed cats. The cats shouldn't be going anywhere until they are 16 weeks old, this allows them to be stronger both emotionally and physically...

    breeders of orange cats

I don't know who's Abys you have seen but a red Aby shouldn't look red. If you want to see a good Aby you should go to this link: http://www.knology.net/~ginawiley/truluck2.html The first cat is Sizzle, he is currently the top Aby in Premeirship in CFA, judges comment on his rich coloring...

    breeders of orange cats

Abys don't come in orange. Abys are Ruddy, Red, Blue or Fawn (and in some associations Silver and silver varieties of the above) and the red is definatly not the kind of red people refer to when they say a cat is a red tabby. Red Abys are have a very rich, dark, deep red color with rich...

    White persians show preparation

You can look at this link, its pretty good, its from CFA's Persian Breed Council web site. There are many suggestions on there. I have a Himi who I can not get to drink out of a bottle so she uses the bowls and gets yellow, every week I give her a bath to prevent bad stains, I use Clarol...
