    Bathing a sick cat

I knew I came to the right place to ask such a question. I'll try it tomorrow when the sun's out too so he can lay in that when we're done. Thanks again!

    Bathing a sick cat

Thank you so much! Warm water??? Cool water? (I've never bathed a cat before)

    Ruptured Ear Drum

I was afraid he may need surgery :-( I'm not sure what medication he used at the time of the cleaning. Before that, we'd tried some drops that you only needed one or two of and they were supposed to work. He was apologetic, but did say "This can happen". And he was fair with the bill.....I just...

    Bathing a sick cat

Iggy's been in the hospital for a full week and just came home yesterday. (He has a ruptured ear drum) :-( Anway, he reeks!!! Our vet said it would be ok to give him a bath, but I'm afraid of stressing him out any more than he has been, and I'm especially fearful of getting water in his ear...

    Ruptured Ear Drum

Has anyone had any experience with a ruptured ear drum in their cat??? We had persistent ear mites in two of my adult cats. The vet needed to clean their ears before he could re-do their mite medicine. He accidentally ruptured one of Iggy's eardrums! I know it "can happen", but my poor Iggy...

    New Addition! :-)

Jenn, your Spike is a real cutie too! Your last medical report was in May....how's he doing now??? Poor guy has had his share of vet visists hasn't he! I hope he's better now. He looks like my Rocket....except Rocket's black and white, but pretty close!

    New Addition! :-)

Thank you Heidi! Not a bad idea. I can probably just make something out of cardboard here too. I appreciate your reply!

    New Addition! :-)

Meet Maury! His mom either abandoned her litter or was killed and he was the last one of his siblings up for adoption. So now I'm "Mom of Eight" lol It's been a while since I've had a kitten. I could use a little expert advice on feeding him. All my cats are on Evolve dry and get Evolve canned...

    No More Vomiting!

I'm sure I read about elevating the chow bowls on here somewhere. Maybe Hissy's or Sandy's posts. Whoever suggested it, I thank you for the idea! Rocket had been just fine when he started to do this, too. So of course I had him checked out by the vet, but when there was nothing physically wrong...

I'm so stressed by my cat yeowling

We've got one too! Iggy!!! He just whines a lot, and has ever since he's a kitten. I've tried everything too, but nothing works to quiet him down when he wants to meow. Our vet said there are just some cats that are more vocal than others. Our Siamese will howl when he wants attention, but we...

    No More Vomiting!

I've had a problem with my 5 year old Rocket. (He's the big B/W one in the pic.) He would throw up his food right after eating. He wasn't losing any weight, and the vet said he was healthy. He would just eat too fast and it would come right back up. I tried several different things, but finally...

    Cats, dogs, and spraying

Thank you both for your replies. I DID find the NokOut website....I'm too blonde sometimes And Max has been checked for UTI's etc. and because of the way he does it, I know it's spraying and not peeing. I will try the Feliway and just make sure it has time to dry before letting the dogs around...

    Fetch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of mine, Iggy, will fetch those plastic pop bottle tops. If you click it with your fingernail, he'll come running from wherever he is to play with you. Until HE gets tired of it, of course.

    Cats, dogs, and spraying

I know, we've been over this a million times, but Max, our almost 8 year old tabby is spraying. We got two dogs last year, and he's occasionally sprayed the wall where the dog beds are. The feli-way did work, and I thought I had it conquered. BUT, last night, the dogs were out, and he walked...

carrying a toy mouse and YEOWLING

Our Sophie does that. It's like when they bring home a dead mouse and expect you to praise them for it! LOL She's just proud of her "captor" whatever it may be, and she's looking for you to tell her what a great kitty she is. ;-)
