Try a plug in felliway which might help mellow her out. Also to make sure she eats, try to have the caregiver give her some really tasty, smelly catfood like fancy feast.

My cat has had a scab on his ear for 4 months. The vet gave me some topical/steroid treatment to put on it but it isn't going away. She said it isn't skin cancer because of the way it looks. Does anyone have any ideas on what this might be? He is about 17 years old. Thanks

You can buy the fluids and needles at costco with a prescription. I buy fluid (saline chloride) and it is $18 for a case (you can't buy them individually there). I know they have lactacted ringers also. You don't have to belong to Costco to go to their pharmacy.

Is your friend looking for the cat late at night? They say that is when cats feel more comfortable to come out from where they are hiding. Hope they find it soon!
