Can a cat drink too much?

Hello all, Miss Lola was sick a couple of weeks ago (just the one vomit, nothing serious) and when it came up, I noticed that it was really dry. Since then, I add a couple of tablespoons of water to each of her meals (wet food pouches). She hasn't been sick again, she's well, hungry, active and...

Thanks again to all who've replied. It's nice to get so many answers. I'll try her with a couple of thawed mice and see how she does, if it goes well, I'll order some gerbils, hamsters, rats, quails, birds etc. I'll pick up this thread again once we've given it a go and I'll let you know how it...

Can I feed a whole mouse for dinner?

I don't know about the U.S, but here in Britain it's illegal to intentionally feed live food to your pet. ETA, I should have specified - that's animals though, insects don't count.

    My Precious Girl Ziggy RIP

Farewell little Ziggy, you were a beautiful girl and will be sorely missed. Never will the hill be the same in summer, without Sadie's baby chasing the butterflies.

Can I feed a whole mouse for dinner?

The site has this to say about their animals: "All the animals are farmed specifically for the pet industry and are maintained in accordance with current legislation. The dispatch of animals is also carried out under controlled conditions and utilizes non toxic and fast acting gasses." I trust...

Can I feed a whole mouse for dinner?

Hello all, I was just wondering, if I'm feeding raw or dry for one feed, can I feed one or two mice for her dinner? Maybe a rat pup once in a while? Would this be healthy enough? Thanks for reading, any answers appreciated. Mara and Miss Lola.

    Is mixed meat raw ok?

Thanks for the link Sharky, one of the recipes on there said that pork fat was a really good amino acid source to cats - so do I have to leave the fat raw or does it need cooking like the rest of the meat? Sadieandziggy, fancy seeing you here! x

    Is mixed meat raw ok?

Yes, all organs are added and plenty of cartilege, gristle and chicken necks. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, delicious! They're a farm butchers and their two working collies thrive on the mix, so I'd trust them to look after her. Sorry to sound a novice, but why is pork a no-no?

    Is mixed meat raw ok?

I've just found out that my local butcher provides a ground pet food mix. It's free from antibiotics, it's organic and it's all free-range. Sounds great, but it's mixed meat. It contains beef, lamb and pork as well as chicken. Would this be ok? I'll be adding egg yolks, salmon oil, and the...

Whaich grinder? Needs to be available in the UK.

Hello all, first post with my little kitten. My lovely Lola is a little picky about food, but I'd like to put her on the Bones and Raw Food Diet. The only thing I'm having trouble with finding is a grinder. I know that I'll need one that will handle bones, so which is the best to go for? I'm...
