Thanks guys! All is well now. Apparently it was the 6mo old male that was driving her up the wall so we separated him and moved him to the other end of the house and she's been great with her kittens!
Thanks guys! Well, today mom is still at it so we're just going to start feeding the kittens on our own. I spoked to a lady that's the president of a cat place and she explained that it was redirected aggresion because her two older kittens were spayed/neutered but since it's still going on...
OK, new problem, the mom which I talked about in the other thread started today hissing/pawing at the kittens who are today 1 month old. This is totally for no reason. Up to last night she was nursing them and she was being an awesome mom feeding them, cleaning them, and spending practically all...
New question: how long till the newborns start going to the bathroom. They are practically drinking milk 24/7 but there's absolutely no mess whatsoever. I'd have notice the smell or the mess by now but nothing. Should I be worried?
Thanks! We've decided to start this coming Monday since my best friend is going to be staying over the weekend so we figured it was better than start today and have to stop tomorrow and then start again Monday lol. I will be posting news as to how it goes. So far so good! The older kitties...
Thanks! I'll start putting her dish further away and just watch to make sure the older kitties don't eat her food.
We're not really bothered by the hisses and I've been severely scratched by a feral before so I don't mind that (I don't really mind dogs biting me either if I know I'm helping...
Yeah that's gonna be our approach. We're going to try to lure them every day until then with food inside the crate and hopefully we can shut the door fast enough. That's basically how we got them in the house in the first place lol.
I have a question about food. We keep putting dry food with...
How long till their eyes open? We're just trying to figure out a way to do this. I just feel so bad taking her kittens away. How can people even breed their pets just to give away all the puppies/kitties??? I'm pretty sure no human would like it if someone took their child. I don't know why...
We had to relocate a turtle once. A huge one at that. We found her in an apartment complex. A HUGE apartment complex that was nowhere near canals, lakes or any water source, note even a pond! How she got there is a mystery to this day. We took her to a canal near where I live and it was so...
Thanks everyone! The other shy one is spotted black and white. I wonder why none of her kids look like her!
I have a pic of the other one here: http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5976/foster12.jpg
He/she was a bit younger then. I"m not sure what they are and I can't take them to a vet until...
I'm so sorry this happened. I cried just reading about it. We've been lucky enough that all the cast/dogs we've ever found have been healthy or have minor problems we've been able to help ourselves (mom knows a lot of home remedies thank god!). You've done a wonderful job by helping him and...
EDIT: I forgot to ask a couple more questions. At this point I don't think we're ever going to be able to give up the mom and the older kittens since they are feral and, especially mom, don't like people. Mom and I made the decision that at least they will be better off living in my office for...
Thanks guys! We couldn't get them out of the room but we did a fort thing with wood planks around the mom and, so far they've spent since yesterday on the bed in the office sleeping/playing and haven't tried to go near them mom or the newborns again. (^_^)
Thanks a lot for your help everyone! I feel so much better now knowing I'm not doing anything wrong by not helping her. We tried to get the two older kittens out of the office and in my room (and my pets would be out in the living room) but they started to panic and nothing, not even food, would...
