I think vaccinations are important. But if you are concerned about the vet clinic have a look if they offer a house visit. I know that our veterinary clinic does and they are happy to vaccinate cats at home.

Actually I don't think this is true. Dry food is very good for cats because when they bite they also clean their teeth. Just make sure they drink water so they do not dehydrate.

My preference is for girls but only because my first cat was a female and she was the loveliest thing ever . My present cat is also a female and she is very affectionate and sweet. It is true that she is not a 'lap cat', but this is probably more to do with the fact that she was not handled...

The aggressive behaviour of your cat may well be due to the changes in her life. As you said you no longer let her out that often. She may be bored and frustrated and one way to show it is to attack you so she gets the attention. I think the first thing is to take her to the vet just to check...
