My 16-yea old cat had been suffering from IBD and the vet tried various things to come up with a diagnosis. Ultrasound showed a large pancreas and hardened intestines. So was treated with flagyl, cerenia, and steroids (prednisone).
She lost quite a lot of weight, didn't eat consistently...
