So far, so good with Smalls in this house. The company includes three supplements separately, for free, to entice your kitty to try the new food...chicken broth, bonito flakes and chicken liver powder. My Olive pretty much inhaled it on first try, and she's extremely fussy due to appetite...
Itrafungol was a great drug for my kitty's ringworm. It's one week on, one week off for three cycles...very easy to dose, too. Highly recommend it. Well tolerated, too.
My Olive was on Itrafungol for a week and her ears looked great. I made the mistake of taking her with me for an overnight visit to my parents house last night, and as soon as I got there, her ears had turned red again, which I assume was from the stress of the hour drive.
This is Day Four of...
My cat has the exact same marks, which came after the ringworm infection on her ears cleared up. I took her to the vet to check up on something else and asked him about this, and he said it was nothing to worry about. It seems when one mark clears up, another appears. Please let me know if you...
Mamakitty...is there any redness in these vertical lines? That's usually a sign of bacteria. I would Google it, then click on the images tab to see if you see anything similar.
Mamakitty...fungal infections can cause secondary bacterial infections around the same area. This actually happened to me when I volunteered at an animal shelter two years ago. If you think your cats getting ringworm is bad, try getting it in your own scalp. Half the hair on my head fell out...
Tip about pilling: pulverize the pill with the back of a spoon into a fine powder, then mix it with a tiny amount of Gerber cicken and gravy baby food. Make it into a paste consistency, then rub it along the side of your cat's lips. If there's any left over, wipe it on her paw and she'll lick it...
What was the diagnosis? My cat has a few of these spots on her nose but no scabs. My vet said they were nothing to worry about when I recently had her in on a different matter ( he wasn't too focused on them), but I'd still like to know what they are. Did you take your cat to the vet?
I'm so happy to have found this thread. I, myself, got m. canus two years ago after volunteering at a shelter. The left side of my scalp went completely bald. I recovered, but I suspect I will always have a fungal vulnerability.
Last year I adopted a cat from a couple, so she lived in that...
