He was a stray kitten that road up UNDERNEATH my grandmothers car to our house before we heard meowing. He was in bad shape, sick, fleas, everything. We got him treated. His shots are all up to date. He's about I want to say 5 years old?  Does this help?

In this photo you can see how much dirt I scrub off of him about weekly, and if you look to his eyes you can see the thick black crust that appears daily.  Compared to my other cat, you can see the third eye lid more clearly here, especially in his left eye. (Sorry for the poor quality)...

It may be allergies of some sort. Cats and other animals can be allergic to certain things.  Sorry im not much help, but I hope your cat gets better!

I am aware cats have a "third eyelid" that shows up occasionally. My cat seems to always have his breeching the corners of his eyes. He also develops a black crust in the corners that I clean out daily. It seems to happen so often and I'm concerned about his health. He has poor grooming skills...
