I realized that I have been dreaming of my boy pretty much every morning since he crossed the bridge...he is usually playing of lounging....he must be telling me that he is happy and safe....

awww i know how you feel, my clive had to be put down on wed last week.
it was a number of issues and i know he was soon going to be in real bad pain and i still feel horrible about it.
i am sure your kitty knows you were doing the best you could and will be coming to visit you in spirit...
thank you for all your kind words...i am still having a hard time missing him - i know it was in his best interest, but it hurts.

His vet preceribed Humulin - or generic NPH 2 units 2x day. (U100 syringes)
He also felt his mass now upon palpatation. It has grown in 10 days since he saw him last. He will be on prednisolone 2.5 mg day. To help control the tumor.
I go back for a recheck in 1 -2 wks.
very early this morning clive was meowing to eat ( has been for days ).
but later he was lying on the floor next to me making a short meow that sounded like a whimper, a few times in a row. does this mean pain?

I don't know what the level is the sub vet didn't say and I didn't want to discuss it with him because I am more confident with my regular vet. I don't want the combination of three medications to make him sicker.. I am beside myself.
