Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Well, so far I've gotten zero response from Sonotube on what distributors they have in my area... I found another concrete supplies place down in Newberg (Delano Supply) that has them listed on their products list on their website so I've tried messaging them to see if I can get a quote. Here's...

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Sadly I've seen that already, and it only compares the strength of Newark tubes. There's no equivalent report on Sonotubes so I can compare results. Parr lumber only carries what they have and can't think of other options for sources that I haven't already tried (Home Depot and Lowes) :(

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Rats... Parr Lumber only carries Newark forming tubes. I can't find any equivalent performance metrics between Newark and Sonotube to see if they're comparative in strength

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Ooo, I didn't even think of Parr Lumber! I always assumed they were focused on, well, lumber and other wood related things :P I'll give them a shot!

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Yep, that's almost precisely what I had in mind :D Sadly I'm having trouble finding a Sonotube supplier in my area (Portland Metro area, Oregon), which is why I was second guessing whether it was possible with any ol' concrete forming tube... Lowes and Home Depot both only stock Quikrete and...

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

Do you recall the brand of the tubes you used? From what I've read, Sonotubes are super sturdy, while the product reviews I've read have been for Quikcrete and Sakrete. The hallway is 10ft long, so I was planning on having supports every so often in addition to where it would attach to the...

    Better cat litter

I have allergies and multiple cats, so I have to use a litter that's dust free and really strong odor control. I've used several of the litters mentioned above and haven't been too pleased with them. I finally settled on Precious Cat Ultra's multi-cat formula (PetSmart offers...

Concrete forming tubes in DIY cat project?

I have to burn some vacation time this summer, so I decided to "Catify" my house to give my 4 kitties cat shelves/tunnels/etc to play on. I'm going with a Mario theme since I'm a huge video game nerd. As part of this project, I'd like to add a cat tunnel/walkway along the wall/ceiling on a...

how did my spayed rescue cat go wild again

That would be my guess as well. Maybe the bath was the initial thing that made her go run off for a bit, and then once out there she reverted back to her feral instincts. Your cat may hate it, but in my experience the best way to get her to relearn her good habits is to keep her inside and not...

My Cat is Wrecking my LIFE!!!

One thing that seems to work well with my cats is I take catnip and sprinkle it all over their cat tree about a half hour before bed. Make sure its not RIGHT before you go to bed though or they'll keep you up with their initial racing all over the house. After the initial racing, they get so...

Who needs an alarm clock anyways?

I definitely need an alarm clock. My kitty puts me to sleep after they wake me up! James, my long hair gray & white tuxedo Manx, likes to climb onto my chest and wake me by rubbing his cheek all over my face with the occasional drool. Once I wake up and pet him, he'll tuck his head around my...

    Help with a possessive/jealous cat

They both were at the vet's about 6 months ago and got a clean bill of health other than being on the heavy side. We've been cutting back on their food as a result and trying to play with them more to get them more active (which Toby loves, but James mostly ignores). I guess he could be grumpy...

    Help with a possessive/jealous cat

My husband and I have two cats, one is a big, long-hair grey and white tuxedo manx boy (James), and the other is a flame point siamese boy (Toby). Both are neutered are 5 & 3 years old respectively, and have been living together for about 2 years now. James HATED Toby when we first brought him...
