    Vomiting Undigested Food

I've only had her about two months so I am not sure if she is prone to constipation but I am willing to try anything to keep her healthy (and keep me from spending lots of money at the vets).

    Vomiting Undigested Food

I have considered it and my try a half and half. To start with and see if that helps. Has anyone had any luck with the water fountains. My parents had one when I was growing up and all their cats were fed primarily dry without any issues.

    Vomiting Undigested Food

There has been some poop but not as much as normal and I didn't think too much of it until she started vomiting the last two days. The vet seems to think she should be fine once we get everything moving, now we just need to figure out why it started in the first place.

    Vomiting Undigested Food

She went to the vet this morning and had an X-ray. Basically, she is constipated. The vet gave her some fluids and gave me some medication and easily digestible food for her. She is throwing up because her intestines are full. I'm supposed to watch her the next few days and see how things go.

How Reliable Is Ringworm Pcr ?

I have never had a cat with ringworm but I am a chemist and have used PCR for other reasons on many occasions (and I just looked up some journals on ringworm PCR tests) and PCR is generally very reliable. Studies have shown that PCR is usually 95-100% reliable when detecting ringworm. I would...

    Vomiting Undigested Food

She does typically eat fast, the speed seems to have increased since I've had her. We are a one cat home and have no children so she is not rushed at all to eat before it is disturbed. I have never actually seen her vomit. Its always when I get home or at night (I woke up to one vomit this...

    Vomiting Undigested Food

My three year old cat Ava has recently been throwing up undigested food. It has happened every few days but when I got home from work today there was two mounds of it. She acts normal and is still using the litter box. She is fed twice a day, around 8 am and 8 pm and she gets blue wilderness...

    My Cat Is Talented

Not sure if I chose the right forum but here it is. My cat is talented, so talented in fact that she can lose every single one of her toys in about 10 minutes. What I mean by lose is swat them under the oven, fridge, washer, dryer, bookcase, any closed door in the house and then she cries when...

    New Kitty

She said doing much better. The crying has really decreased and mainly happens in the morning around 5:30-6. She seems pretty comfortable and plays now which she didn't do last week.

    Feliway for meowing

I don't have a lot of history on her but I do know her first home was overcrowded with animals, which is why she was given up and she was only at the shelter for about two weeks before we adopted her. She does seem to be getting better and I'm sure the meowing is something we will get used to as...

    Feliway for meowing

As far as I know she has no siamese. Her talking is generally pretty quite and she looks at me or my boyfriend. It's when she starts a really loud continuous meowing that I have no clue what she wants. She could be sitting with us and then all of a sudden get up and start meowing while just...

    Feliway for meowing

I got her from a shelter were she was in a cage. But of course there were noises everywhere. I play with her as much as I can and she has all sorts of toys that I know she plays with while I'm gone because when I come home they are in completely different places than when I left. She also...

    Feliway for meowing

I recently adopted a cat and she is a great cat. She always uses the litter box, loves attention, has a very good tenperment but she meows all the time. Sometimes she meows for attention in which case I ignore her and sometimes she just wanders around the house meowing. It doesn't seem like a...

    New Kitty

Thanks for the understanding and help. I'm a graduate student so I'm on a tight budget. I have a savings that would allow for a serious medical issue for one animal but there is no way I could realistically have two cats (I love cats and would adopt all of them if I could). She seems to be doing...

    New Kitty

This is my first post and I hope this is the right place. So I just adopted a 3 year old female less than a week ago. All night she sits in the window and cries.I called the humane society I adopted her from to ask if she was an outdoor cat in her first home. Well, they told me she was bonded to...
