Yeah, I did my research on normal Purina foods for my dog a while back and saw that it was pretty grody stuff. His fur, smell and teeth were terrible when he was being fed it. Oddly, I don't think I've ever seen Authority at my Petsmart.

Mine are basically indoors. They got outside on accident a few times, but stayed within the yard. Since then, I let them go out when I'm going outside too, and they keep nearby and come back inside when I do. I'm not sure if that constitutes indoor/outdoor, since they're not unsupervised...
