    Does everyone's cats do this?

Ricki, my 4-month-old kitten, insists on accompanying both myself and my husband when we go to the bathroom. the sound of... well, you know... will somehow wake her out of the deepest sleep! with me, she climbs up on my lap. with david (my hubby), she jumps up onto the toilet seat...

    I don't know what to do....please help

you could try positive reinforcement. whenever the dogs come around (and ONLY when they do, for a while at least), give her one of her favorite treats so that she begins to associate the dogs with something good. even if she's hiding at the time, try to give her a treat. also, make sure she...

    Is Riley pouting?

mine try to cover up their wet food all the time! they usually only do it when they're finished eatting, though. i think they're trying to hide it for later, but i'm not an expert.

Is it bad to let Moses outside to play?

i'm debating the purely indoor vs outdoors on a harness thing myself. but i can contribute one thing... i LOVE revolution flea control! it's applied like advantage or frontline, but it works so much better, in my opinion. we had fleas really bad once, and the day i put it on, i noticed dead...

    Toys or Trash?!

my two girls like my hair elastics, and the youngest one likes the DOG's toys! she'll wrap her front legs around one and kick with her back legs. better it than my arm! i've never let them get away with playing with paper just because they make too much of a mess with it and try to...

Licking and Purring in my hair!

i have a four-year-old male cat who still does this, but i also have a three-and-a-half-month-old female kitten who has already stopped. *shrug* it just depends on the kitty. i always feel special when i get a bath and a massage, though!

scared of litter box - pee problem

don't get the feliway spray, but the diffuser that you plug in. if you plug it in in the bathroom (and maybe one or two other places in the house), it should make him feel comfortable there. you can get feliway pretty cheap on ebay or amazon, but be sure you ask the seller about the expiration...

Is it nomal for a cat to change their usual spot for sleeping at night?

another thing to consider is fleas! if you're developing a flea problem, your kitty may be trying to run away from it. mine typically aim for a higher place to sleep... i guess they think the fleas can't get them up there?

    No sleep kitty

if that doesn't work, you may want to try shutting her in a separate room with her litter box and water during the night so she doesn't bother you even if she does play.

Why do you love your kitty(ies)?

chase - even when he was VERY sick, he was still the same sweet kitty, and he didn't get mad at me for having to give him shots. in fact, we developed a routine where i'd sit in the floor in a particular place and call him and pat the floor, and he'd come right on over and lay down. it was as...

I still need to keep my nose out of it right?

having recently introduced a kitten into a house of two adult cats, moved, then adding an adult dog to the mix, i think i might can help. add to that one of my adult cats has addison's disease and is especially prone to changes of environment... well, it was a challenge. the main thing was i...

    Vacation Minus Cats

my in-laws have left their two cats home alone for a week at a time with lots of food and water and an automatic litter box, and they have been fine. their work requires they travel a lot, and they have said they won't get anymore pets after these have passed, but for now, the cats are okay...
