Sorry for necro-ing this thread - but our kitty is experiencing similiar symptoms, and the vet seems to be unsure about the cause.
Veeto presented with hind leg problems about 2 weeks ago - no pain, just a kind of "discomfort" when jumping.
Vet administered cortisone and antibiotics...
