I am just offering a veterinarian approved method, if you don't want to do it or it does not work for you and your cat,  that's fine too.

How do I get my cat to take a pill?

Cats do not want or like to be wrapped up. If you have a cat that refuses to take a pill or any medicine for that matter, wrap him in a towel very fast. In my case I have to catch my cat and be very quick to get the towel around him. Of course they don't like it. The idea is you can contain...

10 yr old cat with chronic diarrhea (diagnosed with Clostridium perfenges)

That is food poisoning. Your veterinarian may prescribe a week’s worth of oral antibiotics if the Clostridium perfringens toxin is found. Cats that need to be treated for long-term cases of diarrhea may need to be given antibiotics for a longer period of time. Dietary management is also...

older cat, back legs going out

I have a friend whose cat with diabetes lost the use of her hind legs as well. Perhaps the vet can run the blood test for diabetes only.

    Diarrhea for 8 months now

Thanks for clarifying the ultrasound procedure. I think all signs point to IBD or a food allergy or both, but I am going to get the digestive blood test done first to rule out pancreatitis. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate your time and I will let you know how the blood test...

Thanks so much for this info. I will take this info to my vet and get these tests done. His weight is going up. He weighed 18lbs when this started and now weighs about 20lbs due to the pred. Made him more hungry. Do they have to anesthetize a cat for the ultra sound? I will not anesthetize him...

Help, my cat has diarrhea and not getting better!

ok, I will take him in next week and get the pcr fecal test. My vet told me that if I put my cat on Hills zd, it could take 4 weeks or more to see if that works. I have some cans of that also, but have not tried it because 4 weeks is a long time to determine if this food will work or not...
