Thank you for your insight Katie.
Yeah you are probably right. I was even surprised she suggested it and reminded her again that they have been living indoors for over 2 years. She said they would learn from the colonie how to live outdoors again and nows the best time to do it so they have a...
Hi everyone,
I hope it is okay to post this here and ask for help and guidance.
If not, please forgive me.
When I lived on Long Island NY, my husband and I had a big house and
yard and we had 13 indoor cats, many of which were rescued ferals. We
also did TNR whenever we could. In Sept 05, we...
Ive tried every number I can get my hands on throughout the Island. Rescuers, Shelters, Vets etc ...no help! And the idiots that are feeding her "sometimes" wouldnt bother to trap her for me. I called SPCA and they dont trap ferals ...dont matter that she has lived with me for 2 yrs. All these...
Hello Everyone,
I am writing because I am desperate for help and dont know where else to turn. On Sept 1st, my family and I moved from our house in Shirley Long Island to upstate NY. My hubby didnt sell our Shirley house yet, so we rented a townhouse upstate. We were allowed to take only a few...
Aww, Im sorry houseofcats, I know how heartbreaking it is when you just cant take care of another. We too are filled, both space and financially wise. So I know how just going over and getting him is much easier said then done. It was great that you were able to fix him though and maybe you...

The gray and black furbaby on the right is the one with the eye infection and sneezing.
Oh and I was so glad to see, that even though she hisses up a storm when I do go to pick her up, it was me that she ran and snuggled into when trying to get away from the vet ...I think...
I was able to just take one of the ferals to the vets today. Not only did the eye have discharge, but she started sneezing as well so I sold my firstborn on ebay and was able to take the cat to the vets She gave us antibiotics and eye meds for the baby. We arent giving any of the others...

We took JoJo in yesterday to be euthanasized. Like many here said, he let me know it was time. I cant believe how deep the pain is and how much I miss my first and most wonderful furrbaby ever. We have his ashes in a beautiful cat statue and it is helping to keep him close. I will write more...
I know of a couple of cats who seemed to enjoy it when their owners blew smoke their way. As far as whether or not it harms them, I pretty much always believed what you did ...that a little really wouldnt hurt.
