That's the idea. They do throw up hairballs when they eat grass. The butter keeps them moving the other way. Then hairballs aren't an issue any more. A pat of butter once or twice a week once they are clear. Have you ever notice how most cats love butter! I think it is good for them. Cats...

I don't use the hairball formula. I give a little real butter regularly as this helps with hairballs, and is also a natural source of fats and fatty acids, and natural vitamins. I also bring in grass in the summer for them. This keeps the hairballs down naturally. Judy

If the bag smells bad, take it immediately back to the store as it is probably outdated, and the fat in the product could be rancid. Rancid fats are extremely dangerous to feed and are cancer causing. Luckily they do stink. This has happened to me on occasion, and it is not the manufacturer's...

I think the "hairball" formulas and all the special formulas are gimmicks and/or remedies for the inadequate diets that we feed to begin with. If they are fed properly, they don't need special diets in most cases, as the food, itself, is making them sick. Remember the "taurine" fiasco? All they...

I don't know exactly when the ticked pattern was introduced, but there were other breeds that didn't have it. For example the American Bobtail. When the animal aged the stripes started showing up on the body. So it would be to their advantage to introduce the ticked pattern if it wasn't there...

I would not add any artificial and/or isolated nutrients to a diet. If the ingredients are good they are unneeded and may do harm. If the cat is on a meat based diet, which they all should be, added taurine in unnecessary as it is found naturally in the meat. The taurine which they add is an...

    Cat bites me

Sometimes love bites can get very strong. I've had to teach mine to hold their emotions in check. Judy

    Cat bites me

I would never live with an aggressive cat if the behavior didn't change. They are not suppose to be higher up on the totem pole than we are. They are supposed to be here for our enjoyment, and not to cause stress in our lives. Try different things to put this cat in her place. Her place is...

    siamese kittens

How old are these kittens? I have noticed that during normal development, kittens will go through stages, where any big object such as a human that just appears will be enough to scatter them. Or someone getting up from a sitting position will scatter them. But only until they hear the voice...

Both parents would have to carry the chocolate gene in order to have any chocolates. And both would have to carry dilute to make the chocolate, lilac and the seal, blue. One of the parents is blue, so the other one would have to carry it, also. Judy

PS When we eliminate all the problems one by one, sometimes we find out it is just an attitude problem, and they are happier being the only one. Judy

    Alpha-Male Complex Rampaging...

If medical reasons are ruled out, place him in a home where he is the only cat. Owning a cat is supposed to enhance our lives, not drive us nuts. If he won't behave, it's not fair for the others to be terrorized day in and day out. I had a spayed female like this. Mean to the other cats, peed...

Wendi, I agree with Anne. Your kitty is not being manipulative. That is a human trait. I think she has a problem. Judy
