    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Zunxin, the younger your kitten is, the easier it should be to switch...    Just out slow.

    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Nope, I mean the section with the 2 thin bones. My kitties eat that completely.

    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Why do you want to grind the bones? If your kitten is already eating chunks, it's better for her and easier for you. Give her small bones, chicken wing tips, second section, mine even tackle the drumettes. I also give them thighs cut up in chunks. If you think the bones are too big, you can...

    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Such a little sweetie..   Rollie will probably be the easiest to switch being younger..     With Stanley & Suzie being 4, you're going to want to give them some time to transition..    So, keep doing what you did, mixing the raw with the canned they're used to, and eventually you get them to...

    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Thank you so very much from me and the kitties!! How old are your babies?    If they've been on canned for a while, you probably want to transition them to raw..   Mine were only 9 weeks old, so it was easy - they took to it right away, but if they're older, it can take time.. Mixing their raw...

    Raw Food Beginner, questions!

Chunks are wonderful for your kitties (I have 3 as well, just turned 1 year old).  No need for a grinder, kitties need to chew.  Helps to keep their teeth and gums clean and healthy.  If you're feeding meat, organs (liver, kidney, etc...   heart is meat), and bone (chicken wings, necks, bone in...

Cats are finally eating 100% commercial raw alone....

The Raw Bites are different from the "Raw Boost Kibble".. The Bites are frozen and 100% raw.. The kibble is a grain free dry kibble with some freeze dried raw bites added to it.. Its still basically Dry Kibble.. As long as you stick to the frozen bites you're doing good. True...

Cats are finally eating 100% commercial raw alone....

FYI, NVI Raw Boost Kibble is dry kibble with raw freeze dried bites added to it.. Still basically just dry kibble.. So you probably don't want to feed this.

    Feeding whole prey items?

:rub: When my 3 came home, I switched them immediately to raw (some commercial frozen and some prey model). Because they were so young (9 weeks), they had no problem devouring anything I gave them (they'd been on dry kibble until I brought them home). So, I honestly wouldn't even worry...

    Feeding whole prey items?

I started my 3 on raw the day they came home with me at 9 weeks old (and today is their 9 month birthday).. The shelter provided the foster mom with "science diet kitten kibble" and I wanted them off that ASAP. At only 9 weeks I knew they wouldn't be able to wait to eat till I got home...
