    Toilet Troubles! HELP!

I'm actually having this problem now as well. I'm a first time owner and just adopted two cats a little over two weeks ago. They're brothers, one gray and one orange. The orange one has medical issues that may prevent me from keeping him, but he uses the litter box just fine. The gray one...

    Cerebelluar Hypoplasia

When I adopted my new kittens, one had CH (or some other disorder, the vet thinks its CH) and I came across this group on yahoo: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/chkittyclub/ They occasionally put notices out of CH cats up for adoption (many of which are on petfinder too).

    Litter robot is amazing !

You can order it from Amazon, I think it comes to something like $310 shipped. So not this $400 stuff. Still expensive, but it does work well. Not only is it easy and covenient, but it should help save litter. You pay for it upfront, but you can save money and time in the long-run.

    Pixie the pregnant Torti

The two kittens I just adopted had a torti for a mom that looked very similar. The five kittens (who were all boys) were: one all black, one all grey, one all buff, and two orange tabbies, one swirled and one striped. A nice mixture.

    Two new additions.

These two are my first two cats. Both are about 11 weeks old or so, and are litter mates. The gray one was named Dustin, the orange one Champ. Champ was the runt of the litter and seems to have a slight case of cerebellar hypoplasia. I haven't decided what to call them yet. Dustin Champ

Soon to be First-time Cat Owner

I wanted to updated the thread as I was able to take two guys home this weekend. I ended up taking Champ and Dustin, and limiting it to two ctas at this point. It is believed Champ has mild cerebellar hypoplasia, and after watching him the last day I'm inclined to agree. I'm a novice, but he...

    Litter Robot

I would think the poop would get knocked off due to the weight of the litter and such. Unless its on there like glue. But who poops glue?

    Litter Robot

Ideally with a litter robot, the cat enters the front and turns around, which means that no matter where it goes, it's at least going inside the globe. And if its on the walls, that's okay as litter robot rotates so all walls get covered in litter at some point to pick up the "mess". Now...

    Kitten possibly with cerebellar hypoplasia

Thanks for the replies. As to those that have had first hand experience with CH, is there any reason why it's sometimes worse than other times? It's been stated here and in the literature that cats get better in dealing with it as they age. But are some days better than others, as in do they...

    Kitten possibly with cerebellar hypoplasia

He's about 9-10 weeks now. He's very small, so I'm sure his small size is no help. Whatever he had, had been pretty minor until a recent episode. So maybe it will get worse? Not sure. He would have a room upstairs with all his essentials (assuming he can get in the litter box), but I'd...

    Kitten possibly with cerebellar hypoplasia

One of the two kittens I'm looking to adopt has had some tremors, and after being taken to the vet, they think it might be cerebellar hypoplasia. Now, I'm not that familair with the disease, but I have seen youtube videos of it and this kitten doesn't seem the same. Granted I've only seen the...

    Kitten with the shakes

I'm looking to adopt two new kittens and had decided on two this past weekend. They're not old enough to be adopted yet and remain with their foster mom for now. Apparently one of the two I chose has some problems with tremors. It was mentioned to me at my first visit that he had tremors, but...

Wellness is consider one of, if not the top wet brand for kittens. If it's not available locally, I've used petfooddirect.com with great success to get supplies.

    Loosing patience with my kitten

Well I'm in the same basic boat as the OP. I grew up an only child and without pets. It was only after I met my current girlfriend (a longtime pet lover) that I begain thinking of getting a cat. I too gave it a bunch of thought, and decided to go for it. I think I will enjoy it. I hope I...
