Sadly, I never appreciated black cats before Jingles came into our lives. She was abandoned in a woods next to our house. We heard plaintive meowing, went to investigate and out popped a black kitten. A black cat, why not a tortie or tabby? Oh no! but I couldn't leave her there.

I found TCS late one night after bringing in a feral and realizing we had no idea how to handle her. All the info and help at that time gave us a wonderful cat who is still very shy but such a love!

My Pru doesn't purr, at least not that I can hear, but I feel the vibration. She was a feral and she also didn't meow when she first came to us. One night we heard a screechy-scratchy sound and it was her finding her meow, she felt safe enough to try. Out in the wild requires being quiet and...
