That's what I would have thought; but then, Tady has gotten out before. It's just it's always been when I've been right there to chase him. I usually either catch him, or scare him so that he runs back to the house. He's actually why I got them all chipped; the thought of having no way for...
I went shopping earlier today; was gone from home about 4 hours. Came home and realized the door hadn't shut behind me when I left. Egads! What if the cat's got out? Lexi and Zac were waiting for me just inside the door where they normally are, no problem there. I left the groceries on the...
Here are some new pics of TC. She's out in the house now, and getting along pretty well with everyone.
I bought this cube for the cats a couple days before TC showed up. None of them would use it! I guess I must of known, somehow, that she was coming, because she loves it.
Just a basic...
I've tried heating up his food; doesn't help.
I've now found that he will eat the other cat's dry food; though, he's supposed to be on a special diet, and *not* supposed to be eating dry food. But I don't know what else to do. He is now completely ignoring his food.
He eats a little. He turns his nose up at his food when I first give it to him, which is not normal for him, but then if I get him alone, I can feed it to him a little bit at a time and he'll take it, at least a bit of it.
I do have the kitten milk replacement, so I might try letting him have...
No, I certainly wouldn't have chosen the name she has on my own. Cookie certainly wouldn't have been her middle name if it were left up to me.
She's out in the house now; things are going way to easily. The other cats are watching her closely, but there is no hissing or fighting, thank...
Well, no real answers at this point. He's still trying to starve himself, but vet visit turned up no health issues. Ran blood tests and all, too. The vet thinks it may just be TC is agitating him a bit. His weight is down a pound from his last visit abt. 7 months ago. I'm to keep an eye on...
Oh my, Ginger Cookie is beautiful! It sort of amazes me; she and TC are both Calicos, probably born around the same time, and have such similar stories. Ginger Cookie looks so good in that second picture. I wonder what could be in that tree to catch her attention like that?
Oh my, she is adorable!
If you are feeding exclusively canned, I wouldn't worry about her not drinking. I fed mine nothing but canned for several years, kept the water bowl fresh, but if they ever drank from it, I never knew it. I only started to notice them drinking from the water bowl...
I'll call the vet again in the morning then. Sounds like URI's are pretty easy to get control of, assuming he has one. Still, I hope he doesn't. I don't want to stress him anymore than he is already.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I'm just so proud of her. I don't really even know her yet, but she sure can make me smile. I just gave her a bath, and she didn't appreciate that. But afterwards she curled up in my lap while she groomed herself, so I guess she's forgiven me for it.
Okay, so I brought a new cat, TC, into the house 2 days ago. She's been fully vet checked, and has a clean bill of health. She is also separated from the other cats while we slowly work on introductions, but they know she is there; can smell her, and of course hear her.
My question involves...
