    Abscess From A Shot?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I was worried the vet had done something wrong to have caused this. I guess though, its possible my guy was just unlucky. Is it worth asking the vet for some type of credit for the second trauma they caused?

Kitten Has A Never Ending Cold?

Some research shows that probiotics can help not just with gut health but also immunity. Can't hurt to sprinkle some in his food! My guy had a reaction to the pet stuff at the vet, so we use Culturelle. I break a capsule and mix with his wet food. Just an idea :)

    Abscess From A Shot?

My poor guy has been having a rough go of it. Two weeks ago he had a dental cleaning and two teeth removed due to lesions. Thanksgiving Day, I noticed him walking funny and immediately ran him to the ER vet. He had a big bulge on his front leg and I was worried he'd injured himself jumping from...

    Cat Insurance With Pre-existing Condition?

Thank you all for your replies! I have been digging in to pet insurance, but it seems like they mandate yearly visits but don't cover them (which is counter to human health insurance?), or really anything else for that matter... I just thought I'd reach out to other cat parents to learn from...

    Cat Insurance With Pre-existing Condition?

Good morning all! I adopted a cat from the shelter a five years ago. He's currently 6 years old. He's an indoor cat so I never thought I would need pet insurance. This cat is my baby but I jokingly refer to him as the 24 karat cat because I have never had a pet cost so much. I was looking for...

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

Thanks everyone. I  have found that my cat can eat the Royal Canin pate food and not get sick. I add water to it and he seems to be fine keeping it down. I wonder if something in the gravy bothers him.  Thanks for the information about the other food brands and the IBD. I know my poor guy has a...

    Poop problems

To add to what others suggested, my cat had a problem with loose stool and scooting. I put him on 3 months of Culturelle kids stirred right into his food and it helped to firm everything up. Sometimes kitties' stomachs just get out of whack and I've found the probiotic helpful to get everything...

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

Thank you so much for the information! I'll definitely look into Dr. Tims! Was getting nervous that non of the urinary wet foods were working for him. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond!

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

Thank you for your response. I think it is a sensitivity. The problem is the urinary foods typically contain very "safe" animal proteins such as chicken which could be what he's sensitive to. I've read that article but am wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and what food the ended...

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

Just an update. He's vomiting the urinary Royal Canin too. Anyone have any tips? I know this cat needs wet food but he can't keep it down. Only the dry? Any help?

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

I have called Hill's. They said they had no issues that they knew of with their food and instead sent me coupons so I could buy more of the food. The slow feed is a good idea but my guy isn't much of a hoover. I'll look into it.

    Vomiting on Hills Cd/Stress

Hi all, You've all been so helpful in the past, I thought I'd ask again. My cat was diagnosed with stress induced FLUTD this past summer. He's been on Hills C/D Stress food (chicken) every since. He gets dry in the morning and wet in the evening. I know I'm supposed to feed him all wet however...

    Advice for cat with UTI/Cystitis

I'm so sorry your poor cat (and you!) is going through this. My cat had a similar situation this past summer and was diagnosed with FLUTD which from my understanding is basically an extreme cause of cystitis. When all is said and done it was around $1600 and 6 vet trips (including 4 to the ER)...

A very Meowy cat. Boredom relief tips?

Haha. I've been thinking about that, but he's been so expensive lately with 6 trips to the vet in 2 weeks that I don't think I can take on another cat at this point. He is neutered. I think he's bored because he follows me around incessantly meowing everywhere I go and pouncing at me. I can...

A very Meowy cat. Boredom relief tips?

Hi all, My indoor cat Jax is 2.5 and is constantly bored and is very vocal about it. He's home by himself (in an apartment) for a large part of the day due to my work schedule. He was recently diagnosed with FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease) but they couldn't pinpoint the cause. They...
