I know this is ridiculous but I ate some of the canned Koha chicken to see what it tasted like. It smelled like canned chicken and tasted pretty bad. No wonder they like bake/grilled/boiled chicken better.
Making homemade raw is just too much work and kudos to anyone who does that. I would...
Never tried raw chicken, but I've thought about it. Not sure why I never tried. I once tried partially cooked, maybe to 120 degrees. Then put the Food Fur Life on it. They were not big fans of the powder. I love the idea, take a good cooked meat like beef and chicken and just add powder to make...
Totsy all good info. I have tried toppers. They just eat the toppers and walk away. If I put boiled chicken and mix it in with some raw they will literally pick the cooked chicken out, leave the raw, then go back in an hour and eat the raw. Eating it reluctantly is a perfect description of how...
I take care of my sisters 2 Siberian cats once in awhile. Cool guys but annoyingly picky eaters in my mind. I've read articles and forums and am pretty versed on the "best" way to feed cats.
So the breeder fed them raw for the first 5 months. Then my sister fed them Rad until it went out of...
I appreciate everyone replying. I just took it back to Petsmart and they were good enough to give me a a refund. Traveled to Brooklyn to get some Rad, defrosted the turkey and literally zero odor.
Had two other people smell the Rad and the NV's Instinct. Both agreed the Rad has no smell what so...
LTS3 don't know if I'd describe this as "meaty" smelling. For example if I buy some chicken or ground chicken at the grocery store, if its fresh it has just the slightest smell almost no smell. Same with fish, the less it smell is usually a sign the fresher it is. Every Rad tub I've opened has...
Taking care of my sisters cats for awhile. Having some issues with the only local pet store that carries Rad cat food. Their ordering and delivery process could use some work. In the mean time I grabbed some Natures Variety Instinct raw from PetSmart. Cats didn't take to it too much but for...
Have some CatSure which is like Ensure for humans, been using a 2ml ear dropper to give him some every once in awhile. Going to run an get a bigger syringe and try food in that see how it works. I'd guess he's getting 100-150 calories a day for the last couple of days.
Going to talk to the...
Thanks O&W.
Turns out the Lady was right, kitten food does tend to have more calories per ounce. And on top of that certain brands have more than others. For example
what i was feeding him:
Wervua Cats in the Kitchen Funk in the Trunk is 51 calories per 3.2 oz
Wervua Cats in the Kitchen...
I didn't know that so thank you. Just tried a egg yolk, he licked it, seems to not dislike it but after 10 licks he walked away. Doesn't seem to have a appetite. I can always try again later.

OrangeandWhite thank you for your concern. FIP is a difficult one to diagnose. Even if the FCoV comes back positive it doesn't guarantee FIP just that the cat has the corona virus. But with the other symptoms and a positive FCoV the Vet will most likely decide it FIP.
I understand not over...
Hopefully by tomorrow will have the results of the FIV, Felv, and FCoV. He was FIV and FeLV negative 3 months ago. The Doc doesn't believe the symptoms point to either of those 2 anyway. So basically waiting to see the FCoV test to see if FIP is on the table.
I can't shake the fact that maybe...
