What could be the problem if she is just doing it every so often? Sometimes she goes in the box, and sometimes it's just ouside of it. It's big enough for her, and I always keep it clean. TIA!

No changes in my little girl either. When she got home from the vet's she was tired, so she slept for a few hours, but when she woke up she was back to her spunky self.

You're right momo that's not what I wanted to hear. We have enough animals as is (along with the cats, there's also a dog and two birds in our family), and also finances are somewhat tight right now, so bringing in another cat is just not feasible. Thank you for the suggestion though.
