Tough one! Can you prevent them accessing it now? I’m assuming you can’t use a swiffer in there either. I guess I’d probably do what you were thinking about, but it has to be able to dry.

Definitely not intruding! Welcome, welcome. So your cat is super itchy, I see. Shelter medicine sources are excellent for tips about feline disorders. Also Tufts University has a highly regarded vet program and so also online resources. Cornell does, too.
I think people will be leery about suggesting possible diagnoses. Are you able to bring your cat to the vet? Are you thinking it might be ringworm? Or you just don’t know.
