Actually, I take that back about drinking on his own, he just drank out of the water bowl for 2 mins straight!

Thank you so much for your help! About 5 minutes ago, he ate the hard kitten food i had out for him. Though I've been still using a syringe for the kitten milk replacer (and have been watering it down) because he will not drink on his own.
