The Fresh Step Perfume-Free unscented clumping litter is now widely available here in New England. That's become our preferred litter. Clumps hard as a rock. No smell. Dust really isn't an issue with the Roll n Clean boxes.
If you had trouble with the Roll n' Clean breaking up pee clumps, you were using some kind of poor clumping litter. Using Fresh Step litter (thank god for the new unscented!) in a Roll n' Clean, the litter basically never gets dirty. I started out changing it completely after a month and...
My two kitties also stopped eating wet food. Didn't matter the brand. We had always given then a large variety of brands, which they gobbled down until they hit about 8 months or so. Then they just turned up their nose and ate the dry food.
One day, we put down some Friskies something or other...
Basically, I'm getting as much hair out as the big all-out hair storms in the YouTube videos, but I'm doing it over the course of three or four days, just from the hair I wipe off the Furminator. Don't get me wrong, it still leaves some hair floating around, but it's a much more controlled...
I'm figuring out how to best use the Furminator.
Rather than go like crazy and generate huge clouds of furr, I just comb them with it. The hair is real staticky. Howver, if you just hold a paper towel in your hand like a "cup" and use the towel to wipe the fur off the furminator, it loses its...
I cannot say enough good things about the large size Omega Paws Roll 'N Clean boxes. These things are amazing.
I keep them filled about three inches deep. Started out changing the box after one month. Realized that it didn't need it and now go two months between complete changes (of course...
I have a "side-pee'er" kitty who pees standing right up against the side of the box in the same place every time. The clumps always stick to the side and/or bottom.
No problem. With Roll'nClean box, I just give the bottom a good thump as I roll the box every night. The clumps release from the...
Yeah. Just get a water bottle and spray your hubby whenever he complains. That'll work.
Seriously, though. A mist bottle of water will probably be useful in getting your cat down off the counters. You can just spray the air and they are gone. Hissing also works.
This is interesting. My nine...
I don't claim to be an expert, but I've had good success rewarding both kitties in our house with a treat whenever either of them uses the box. It's gotten to the point where they run to the box, hop in, and do some business, just to get their favorite treats.
Yes. I have two of the Roll n' Clean boxes. They are incredible. Just read the reviews at Amazon. You've never seen so many raves about a darn cat box.
The one you linked on EBAY is the regular size, which is too small for everyday use. Most people buy the large size.
I have two cats that use...
Looks like a good toy to me.
My kitties have a pair of rolled up athletic socks they've been hunting for months. No matter where I throw them in the house, they magically "appear" by my bedroom door a few hours latter. Tattered. Clawed. Bitten. They kill those socks over and over and bring 'em...
Our little girl kitty (now 8 months old) has beaten me into submission on the box in the basement thing. I've tried twice to move our second box downstairs and given up twice, bringing one back upstairs.
I'll try again one of these days, but for now, the aggravation of a box in our living area...
When we had a mystery injury, it turned out to be a puncture wound from an animal bite. The wound was not really visible or apparent to me, but the vet found it right away. It had gotten infected and abscessed inside the leg. The abscess was causing the pain and the limping.
Ours got bitten...
Fresh Step makes both regular and clumping litter. Sounds like you must have bought the regular because their clumping litter clumps very fast and very solid.
If you are getting wet litter in the bottom of the box, you may not be filling the box deep enough. You really want a good three inches...
It all sounds perfectly normal. Kitties chase each other. They have little chase and ambush routines. They "bite" each other. They hiss to say "enough is enough".
