    Food choices

I read about the volume being reduced in terms of stool and that appealed to me.  On ZiwiPeak her stools are pretty small, smaller than any other dry food but with that still bigger than my 20-lb raw-fed dog! LOL We're going to be moving from Oklahoma to Washington Dec 26th and she's never been...

    Food choices

Thanks for your reply!   I ordered some Krill oil last week so it should be here soon.  I also order enzymes because my dogs get theirs through their raw diet, but I worry about my kitty not getting enough.  I like the probotic idea and will look into that.  We make homemade raw milk kefir with...

    Food choices

I posted a while back about feeding canned/dry.  My calico was eating canned food and solely canned food for the first time ever (due to her choice) without any kibble. The last week, though, she stopped eating as much and I can tell she's begging for the bagged stuff because she keeps looking...

    Canned? Air Dried?

Oh, wow, those articles look great.  I'm totally into nutrition and obsess about it with myself and my animals, but the cat is so difficult to work with.  The dogs eat an all grass-fed, free-range diet of a variety of animals and then the cat is over here missing out hardcore.  I fostered...

    Canned? Air Dried?

She's about 9lbs and I think she's good.  The vet suggested 8lbs is her ideal weight as the last check up...and she was about 12 then.  So maybe that's why she eats less!  She eats a LOT less of the dry than the bag suggests.  I switch it up between lamb/venison, but I think she likes the lamb...

    Canned? Air Dried?

Well, my only concern is she doesn't eat the required amount on the canned to meet the nutrients listed on the side.  It says she should eat a whole can whereas she only eats 1/2-3/4 of the can.  I guess I'm a little hesitant about spending $90 a month to feed one cat....I planned to originally...

    Canned? Air Dried?

hey!  Thanks for replying so quickly. Yes, I have bags of the air-dried, but the more can I feed, the more she boycotts the air-dried food.  Would you advise mixing some of the dry in so she'll eat it that way?  Or is mixing two different foods like that too taxing on the digestive track?

    Canned? Air Dried?

So, I know a lot about dog nutrition and not nearly enough about cat nutrition.  Well, I know enough to know they're 100% carnivores and ideally I'd feed my cat a raw diet like my three carnivorous canines.  However, my stubborn seven-and-a-half year old calico, Astrid, has a different opinion...
