    Changing their cat food

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this or not because I don't feel like reading all of the other posts... lol. But you may want to try the Nutro wet food pouches. They have chunks of food instead of ground up food and my cats LOVE IT to bits. Just a suggestion. Sorry if it's already been said.

    Amount of food to feed

Yes I have looked. I can't remember what the can said. But the bag I believe instructed right around a cup of food per cat per day.

    Amount of food to feed

I have 2 cats at my fiance's house. One is around 8 pounds, the other is around 12 pounds. Recently we have begun feeding them half each of a 5.5oz can of Natural Life or Nutro wet food per day along with 3/4 cup each of Nutro Complete Care Indoor dry cat food. I was just wondering if this...

Feeding guidelines for 2 chubsters :)

Soo we picked up some Nutro Complete Care Indoor today. We're going to try to transition from the SD light onto that over the next few weeks and see how they do. Also, I picked up some cans of Natural Life from Walmart. We're going to start off pretty slow with that because neither of the cats...

Thanks! You are all so helpful and your recommendations really make sense unlike those in my dog forum where everyone pretty much just recommends their favorite brand and refuses to stray from it. lol. I think with this information I should be able to figure out a decent dry food to switch to...

Feeding guidelines for 2 chubsters :)

Wow! This forum rocks for quick responses and friendly people. I should've joined ages ago. lol. Alright -- so if I'm looking to introduce the wet food into the equation, how would I go about it? Would I possibly want to feed one can of wet food per day and then do a second meal of dry food...

Feeding guidelines for 2 chubsters :)

I guess this brings up another question. Is there actually benefit to feeding wet food, and if so, how often should I use it? My vet has always praised my family up and down for staying away from the wet variety of food due to good teeth in our cats, so we've pretty much just assumed it was bad...

    Hello :D

Hi there! My name is Jen -- I'm 21 years old and live in Fond du Lac, WI. I currently am the proud owner of 4 cats. Two live with me at my dad's house. The other two are kept at my fiance's house. I also have many other pets including a dog, a parakeet, fish, and mice. At my dad's house I have...

Feeding guidelines for 2 chubsters :)

At my fiance's house, we have 2 cats -- both of whom are somewhat overweight. We are currently free-feeding Science Diet light dry cat food for them. So here are my questions. 1) Is free-feeding okay or should we restrict them to a set amount per day? And if we restrict them, how do we ensure...
