Just to give you hope since I created this post it's been almost a year and my little guy is doing great. The only crying at night is when he wants us to get up and play with him. I know it seems like you'll never get through this but you will. At this point my guy brings us so much happiness...

Thanks, I think he's pretty cute, obviously. He has an adorable face but he doesn't sit still long enough to get any pictures of it. :) They do love computers. I've learned about some settings on mine I never knew existed because things got turned on and off by someone waling on it. 

I joined a few weeks ago. I'm Barbara and my cat is Niki. He's a Siberian Forest Cat, I got him because many claimed that Siberians we're better for allergies. 

We'd been doing really well and were playing this evening and had an accident in the living room. Tomorrow I'm going to get him a second litter box because crazy playtime seems to equal not getting back to the box in time. Even though the apartment isn't very big and the box isn't that far. 

Just wanted to give a quick update. We got a negative test on giardia at the vet today.  We go back again next week just to be sure.  And we've been really good about using our box again (hopefully I didn't just jinx it by bragging).  Thanks to everyone for your advice and support.

He's not going outside, I couldn't handle the worry. I'm surprised he even goes near the bathtub since it's where he gets baths. 

I've been having trouble with my guy going in the bathtub.  He's still goes in the box but then he'll also go in the bathtub. I clean his box at least 2 times a day. Today I filled the tub with water and he used his box. Did anyone else have this problem with Giardia and if so did they stop...

Niki has treatment for 5 days and today is day 4.  He's been eating Orijen so I don't think it's a food issue and all of his symptoms are consistent with Giardia.  Hopefully your vet wouldn't do that but I've been reading up on Giardia and it seems it's difficult to detect so sometimes they...

I found out on Saturday that my little guy has Giardia. :(  Today will be his fourth treatment of Flagyl and I've been bleaching everything to help get rid of it.  He's been way more playful but he's still have very runny stools.  We go back to the vet on Friday. This thread makes me feel better...

I took him to the vet on Saturday and found out he has Giardia, poor baby. He's been taking medicine and going less and had been doing really well with his litter box but when I got home today he had gone in the bathtub.  We still have 3 more days of treatment counting today and then we go back...

I'll give the Kitten Attract litter a try.  I hadn't thought about a blacklight, that's a good idea.  I think the problem now is that he thinks it's okay to go in these places because it happened once.  I tried to give every inch a good spray down with the enzyme cleaner last night so that it...
