    Update on Diamond

I'm so sorry. It breaks my heart when this happens, but it is the right thing for her.

    Kattie is sneezing

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I'm taking Rula to the vet in about an hour for the same EXACT reason. She just started sneezing like once-twice an hour. It seems only to be when she's sniffing something. I checked her eyes, nose--no mucus or discharge and she's otherwise fine. Hope Kattie...

    Kitten just neutered

When Charo was spayed a few weeks ago, we were advised to leave the e-collar on until the stitches were removed. We took it off for an hour a day to give her some relief, but when it was off, she would go right for the stitches. We had a soft collar, so it was a little bit easier for her to get...

Please HELP!! Blood in Stools (picture included)

I had a cat that had that once in a while. First time totally freaked me out. In time I learned it wasn't an immediate emergency, as long as he was acting ok. All tests turned up nothing and it was from straining and lots of irritation down there. I hope it turns out to be nothing major, but a...

    Vibes for Jordan

I hope Jordan has just IBD, not Lymphoma. But if it is Lymphoma, it is very treatable as long as you have it diagnosed sooner than later. Our Mikey had the same symptoms and after a year of wait and see, small improvements, followed by downswings, we couldn't save him. Lots of for Jordan!

4 Year old Simba is sick

Any updates? I've just read the thread and am thrilled that you found a vet who took the time to figure it all out.

    eye irritation-terramycin experience?

Thanks for the advice. It's spot on. I wiped both eyes with a warm cotton ball and she was bright-eyed right after. Then I let the night dosage get absorbed for about 30 minutes before I wiped her again. Good as new!

    eye irritation-terramycin experience?

Aw, I'm sorry you have to use it on so many kitties. I hope it does the trick!

    eye irritation-terramycin experience?

Yeah, I tried my best to get most of it on the eyeball. Are your kitties squinting?

    eye irritation-terramycin experience?

After putting Bubba down in August after his cancer came back full-blast, we took a few months to grieve and are now happy to announce the adoption of 6 month old Rula! We've had her over a week and she's a dream. Took her to the vet on Monday night, b/c she had a bit of mucus in her left eye...

I think my cat has mammary cancer, need help...

I'm sorry about your kitty having cancer. Mine does as well. They did surgery right after Christmas to remove the tumor from his colon. Luckily, it hadn't spread to the liver or nearby lymph nodes and we're now doing chemo. He's doing remarkably well. The oncologist has him taking lixotinic...

    X-ray vs Ultrasound

My thinking would be to just skip to the sono. If they can't see what they want with the x-ray, then they'll have to do a sono, which means you had to pay for both. They can see much more with a sono, too. My vet did an x-ray on Bubba, and noticed some abnormalities with the kidneys that could...

    Back from first chemo treatment.

Well Bubba has been doing amazingly well since his surgery 3 weeks ago. He had a tumor in his colon removed, which turned out to be cancerous. He gained 12oz in 3 weeks, which we're thrilled about. He had his first chemo treatment today. He's been home for about 3 hours and he's eaten a lot...
