Meow snores too, but usually only when he's scrunched up in his basket. The vet said he's OK, so I don't worry about it, and its actually kind of funny to hear it. I'll wake him up and he give me this look like "What did you go and to that for?"

My wife and I were discussing the pumpkin theory, and she had a good idea... I'm guessing it is the fiber in those foods that help, so do you think adding a tasteless, non-thickening fiber additive like Benefiber to the wet-food would work too? Maybe just a sprinkle on top of the food and...

Yup...the price-point is the key for insurance, but delivery confirmation should be done with everything. It's worked for me.

Sorry to hear about this. Its hard to say what the right answer is, but like many have said - baby steps, and professional help. Try a different Doctor. Seriously. Some are pharmacologists who script meds, others are Freudian and want you to talk about your intrusive thoughts and whatnot...
