She is definitely not bored.  she has plenty of play time, including fetching.  Sparky keeps her well on her toes.

    Unusual Kitten eating Behavior

My one year old Maine Coon kitten, Lucy has started a very unusual eating habit.  It is a well known fact that Maine Coons like water.  About 6 months ago I had to get her a water bowl/food bowl attached eating tray so that she would stop playing with her water and splashing it all over the...

One cat household, but a possible middening incident

You only had her one week! Why don't you give her a little time to get comfortable with you and for you to get comfortable with her and for her to start getting into certain habits etc. etc. You haven't had her long enough to see where her behavior is strange or unusual. You sound a little bit...

My new cat is not coming out of hiding, and hissing.

As long as she is safe and warm and well fed, do not worry about her.  Don't put your human emotions and thoughts on her.  Of course, you would not like to be curled up behind a set of shoes.  For her, it is safety and she feels comfortable.  Giver her time.  As long as she is eating and using...

My new cat is not coming out of hiding, and hissing.

I think you got the gist of it.  She is understandably frightened.  You are doing the right thing by giving her space and not pressing yourself on her.  The basic thing is that by opening up the space to her and allowing her free reign, she will slowly (maybe faster) explore the house and you...

I Need Sleep! What do I do?

Since he is feral, it is nice to know he doesn't fear you and seeks you out.  I would make every effort to approach him when he is calm or sleeping and to gently stroke him.  The moments when he can just relax near you and enjoy your touch and even purr, will enable you to do things later - like...

I Need Sleep! What do I do?

How old is he?  Clip his nails.  You better start getting him used to having his nails clipped, because they will be quite sharp when he is grown.  If he doesn't let you do it when he is grown, you'll regret it. I hate to give you the following advice.  I'm surprised you haven't heard it yet...

    Kitten bites my fingers

How old is she?  Every cat I've ever owned has nibbled on my fingers a bit when they were young kittens.  A few have occasionally taken a non-threatening and soft nip at them when they were a bit older.  All have essentially grown out of it. I am of the school that it is natural and I would not...

How Do I Thoroughly Clean a Litter Box

I disagree.  It is hard to imagine any smell left after a nice scrubbing with a good detergent and hot water.  If any smell is left it would be of the detergent.  Just get a household brush and lather well and scrub.

What's the best way to bath a cat for the first time with the least trauma for both of us?

I have never bathed any of my cats.  I've had 8, through the past 42 years.  Usually 2 at a time.  I never saw the need to bathe them.  There have been occasions when I needed a washcloth to wipe off something they dirtied themselves with, but never a bath.

    Strange Kitty Behavior

Starting last week my 11 month old Maine Coon kitty, Lucy started doing something strange.  She spends part of the night with me, which is not unusual. She will walk over me and make herself comfortable and has been spending more time there since the apartment has been getting cooler in the...

Any new thoughts on nail clipping?

Where do you live?  I didn't know it was legal to have a Bobcat anywhere.  Is he also 3 Times smarter?

Any new thoughts on nail clipping?

So, what kind of cat is "No Stop That?"  He is very striking.  Seems to be part wild and part domestic.  Looks like a handful.
