That sounds like what my fiancee does with Rowan. Kinda a 'flying kitty' type thing, but he seems so calm. So calm, in fact, that he doesn't even play with the pullstrings on the lights when he's being held like that. He holds his ribcage with one hand, and his hind feet with the other...
I have dry out all the time, and give wet 'yum-yums' whenever I'm feeling particularly lovey. I don't know that it really matters what time you give the wet, because they'll ajust their dry eating around the wet if you're free-feeding it.
Bella grooms her Daddy and I a lot. Not our hair, but any exposed skin she can get her wet little tongue onto. It's a rough awakening sometimes, when she goes for our faces, but I think it's cute. Just watch that your kitty doesn't swallow any long hairs, because they could be just as bad as...
Mine will get into anything and everything, too.
The worst, in my opinion, is the Qtips. They just have a thing for earwax. I have to walk to the kichen to throw them out in a trashcan with a lid. They're in all of our kichen cabinets, including the ones above the fridge, until I blocked it...
Mine chewed on cords when they were teething, and Bella will still chew on hard plastic things when given a chance (You should see the rod on the blinds that changes how they're tilted. It looks like a bomb went off inside it). Rowan preferred my fingers, but he got over it. And he thankfully...
My parents have a pretty inventive way to fix that issue, and I know better than to get a full sized tree.
The folks have three anchor points. One above, and two on the walls. The tree is always in the same corner, so they just leave the hooks in year-round. Their cat is too fat and lazy now...
Rowan was puking something green one day, as soon as I got back from a sleepover. His 'daddy' had to work all that night, so the poor abandoned kittens had no-one to love them. I chalked it up to him being obnoxiously whiney and needy when I'm gone, and threw away the sage that he'd obviously...
I feed mine Felidae, and it ends up being about as cheap as using a lower quality food, since they eat less of it. The only issue is that the cat on the bag freaks me out. Of course, it's only an issue when I'm refilling the sealed container that I store the food in, but still.
One of my cats, Rowan, has allergies to something, and had eye discharge when I first found him. It was really gross, but it's cleared up a lot. It used to be snot-like things, and if you pulled they'd just keep coming and eeeeew! Now he just gets 'sleepies', like people do. I just wipe them...
I'm pretty sure that I've been using Frontline (I'm currently out of it, or I'd check the packaging). Around here, some of the pet stores actually have the same stuff as the vets, but stick to those three brands that have been mentioned. With a kitten, I'd recommend going to the vet, as the...
Before the move, I had enough scoopage a day to justify a walk out to the bin, but now it's a long walk to the dumpster for so little (Yay! No more Oreo!). I use these little garbage bags to hold stuff, then tie them and put them in the plastic container the litter came in. I've found that...
Bella has slept *on* me since our first night together on the sofa. Rowan usually sleeps with us, but he's not so needy that way, usually. He does wake me up a couple times a night to have his ears scratched.
The cats have gone through periods of night wakefulness, but they generally calm...
That does seem a bit expensive for a surgery... My cat's neuter was only $55, and he was bilaterally cryptorchid, so it was more like a spay (and they had to go hunting to find the testies, too). Lots of places do it way cheaper than that, no matter where you live. If you're in an urban area...
A vet can easily tell if a male cat has been neutered (unless, of course, you're cursed like me and find one who is bilatarally cryptorchid). Just looking, it'd be impossible to tell if a male has been neutered, you'd need to feel around.
And, if you don't feel like getting all up close and...
Rowan's a whiner, and he makes the loud MERRRROOOW whenever he can't be bothered to walk 10 feet to figure out where exactly I am. I used to run and see if something was wrong, but I found out that meowing back works just as well. And it's less of a hassle for me.
I'd say that he has some...
