I had to chuckle when I had read this, even though there's probably nothing funny about it but it reminds me of our cat Furbie, she's an adult and she does the very same thing, clamps her mouth shut so tight that you can't can't anything in there. I honestly don't know of any easy way to solve...

Awe, he was just adorable, I have a hard time leaving the pet shelters because I want to take them home. Every once in a while my husband and I go there and bring cat food and whatever we can afford (usually not much) but every little bit helps.
