We're going to take her to get neutered and keep her away from the kids for awhile, and see if that helps any. Thanks for all the suggestions, it helped calm us down.

The suggestion of setting her free is not something i'm actually willing to do, it's something that was suggested and because we were so emotional we just didn't know what to do. The vet said that we could try getting her fixed and exploring other options after, but honestly didn't seem to care...
