We have three neutered males, all indoors. They have spats, but it's all in play and they get on fine. Surprisingly the fully declawed cat (not by us, he came from the shelter that way) rules the roost over the two fully clawed cats.

Perhaps he's getting overly stimulated/excited and lashes out? Maybe putting him down for a while to 'cool down' might help?

I can't imagine a cat so tubby it cannot run about or play would be happy. Disa's got a little heft to him, but he's not fat, and Hennessy is trim. They love to play and I love that about them.

If he gets put up for adoption I'm sure he'll get a good home, kittens go quickly from Capital from what I've seen. If he shows up, I'll nudge a friend who's been considering a second cat.

We just started working out as well, hopefully we'll keep up with it as well! We've been doing treadmill and swimming (easy on my knees) and walking the dog run and such.

Try The Long Hair Community forums. They have lots of good suggestions on dealing with difficult longer hair. They've certainly helped me keep mine under control (I'm at knee!) Personally I'd suggest a clarify with clarifying shampoo followed by deep moisture and a touch of coconut oil.

Domestic Short Hair and Domestic Short Hair would be my guesses.
