    Best Cat Food

It's a problem. My nat vet at one time told me there are even euthenized animals in pet foods, so you might be getting pentobarbital in them regardless. So in effect, you're killing your pet slowly. Zoo animals that were put down as well. Good Grief! So unless u make it, and it's raw, (see new...

    Best Cat Food

I just spoke with my vet and he said as long as he likes the food, soaking dry in water overnight is fine. So it's better food than canned as it has no GI irritating additives, cheaper than buying wet and has pre and probiotics. So, it's a win-win if your cat will eat it. Thought I'd post in...

    Best Cat Food

Thank You @maureen brad I know they put ethoxyquin, banned in Europe and for human consumption in the US, in all fish right on the boats as a preservative, so many fish food companies aren't even aware of this additive. Really bad stuff in pet food. Mine doesn't like raw, but I may try to get...

    Best Cat Food

Thank you @LTS3 He's a PIA, LOL? Doesn't like the freeze dried food, only the treats. . The previous owner fed him the cheapest food, popcorn and cheese doodles. Nice, eh? I forget which brand I tried, but I might try one of the ones u suggested. The raw frozen brand I tried was sold in PetCo...

    Best Cat Food

Thank you, @abyeb, what about taking dry and wetting it to canned food consistency? The dry doesn't seem to have those ingredients.

    Best Cat Food

I had to deal with the death of a cat from IBD. Never again. I only want to feed my cat with grain free food, no guar gum, xanthan gum, starch (GMO corn), agar agar, carrageenan or konic as additives. They are all digestive irritants. I've found 4 brands so far, Nature's Variety Instinct, Tiki...

    My cat won't play

@mazie, frustrated is the word. Not going to worry about it anymore. He's safe, not as scared at every single thing as he used to be. (Must have been a wreck hiding when he was outdoors) and he has a full belly. He likes a plain old fat eubber band. Goes nutz over it. I thot he would eat it, but...

    My cat won't play

Yup, wants to be outside. Same with the toys and had avet check up. Never played, even when he was a stray. BUT, he catches and eats bugs in the house, and quite good at it. Won't be bothered by flies this year. LOL

    My cat won't play

I found a super toy for my lightweight. I took the yellow rubber bands around organic produce, they're wide, and made a 3/4"-1" ball. OMG! He goes nutz!!!!! The other cat runs if anything comes toward him. I am wondering if he might need glasses. The vet checked his eyes, but not for near or far...

    Stray Won't Play

He went nutz over a thick rubber band. The other went nutz of a 1" rubber band ball. I have to monitor the 2nd as he's a pica. He won't eat a plain rubber band, but will chomp on the ball. Cats can be weird.

    Stray Won't Play

Keyes, That may be the problem, can't eat it, what's the point? Waste of energy jumping around. He must think the other cat is an idiot. LOL! I've orderd a fake butterfly in a jar, we'll see how long he watches that before it ends up on the floor. 128521 At least I know I'm not alone.

    Stray Won't Play

I took in a stray about 5 mos ago and he's about 5 years old. He won't play. He chases a rattle mouse only once if I throw it, then walks away. He barely jumps at the da bird, once or twice. He mostly looks out the window or door wanting to go out, but he's gotten a little better with that. It's...
