*if this is in the wrong thread I'm so sorry!*
My 13 year old Zombie had late stage kidney failure. She doesn't eat anymore so we've resorted to syringe feeding her. She hates the taste of the science diet k/d so we just switched her to a regular wet cat food with her meds mixed in.
Bones...
Yesterday, my little ginger boy Crichton was diagnosed with Feline Enteric Coronavirus. While I'm happy it's not FIP, I wanted to know how other kitty parents are dealing with this. He's having a GI panel done Thursday and another (I forgot what it's called). This accounts for his squinty eyes...
Tried that too lol! For a few months she was eating kitten food (she had lost weight due to a bad tooth) and we were trying to get some weight back on her. That's sort of when this all started. Such a silly frustrating lovey lady!
I've tried heating canned food, but I've never found any she will actually eat. She just licks the gravy and eats whatever falls into her mouth. I would love to keep out food for her to graze on, but my other two boys will eat it (they're on kitten food for another few months). She does love...
Okay sorry I don't know why it posted. But to finish, my vet gave her an appetite stimulant (mitra-sonething I no longer have the packet) but it would make her cry in distress and vomit profusely whenever I have it to her. Sorry I needed to vent, and I hope someone out there has had a similar...
Hi all, I know I've posted about this before, but it's out of control and I'm almost in tears with frustration! Scratch that, I am. I'm completely at a loss as what to do, and I'm hoping, praying, someone can help.
My cat is 13. No health problems at all (she had a complete panel done three...
I use Arm & Hammer fragrance free. It works for my multiple cats. I thought of the litter, but even after I changed it he is still sneezy. Not wheezy though, so that's good. I just want to give up sometimes lol. Very frustrating.
I know I'm really late to the party, but my vet just prescribed this for my old lady Zombie. He did a complete blood Work, and her thyroid and kidneys and liver are fine. She drinks water but just wouldn't eat anything. So this morning I gave her the first pill (I don't know the exact dosage)...
His posture doesn't any pain- I mean he doesn't sit hunched with his head down. He's not dehydrated, I check him daily and be drinks a lot of water. His poop is soft, but his fecal came back fine. He has no discharge from his eyes or nose but he sneezes like crazy! His energy levels are...
Thank you for the replies. I don't think it's an eye injury, as it's simultaneously both eyes that the third eyelid partially covers sometimes.
As for the eating things, when he was a kitten he would nurse on a wool bed. I think I will take him to another vet - my current one just seems a bit...
Hey everyone, I have an issue I was hoping someone could help me with. My orange boy, Crichton, is around 7-8 months old, and is having some issues. On Halloween, he started showing some disturbing health signs. His eyes were starting to become squinty and sort of sink into his head, and his...
Unfortunately I don't live near a specialist. But the vet who pulled her tooth even a month ago said they all looked really good except for the offender. I guess I didn't realize how quickly that could change.
Reread my last post, lol sorry the vet saw her last Friday and said the tooth was fine and to change her food. I'm going to get a second opinion, though. I'm not very happy with this guy anyway. And she did have a panel done last year, and her number were normal. I will ask for that to be done...
My husband says the same thing lol. "Dont stress out she'll eat when she wants to." But it's so hard! I didn't catch her bad tooth in time, and she lost a lot of weight, and still hasn't gained her muscles back. So now, when she doesn't eat, I get super paranoid. She's 13 and I don't want her...
