I volunteer at a local shelter, and they offer spay/neuter for $25 vouchers for a local vet. Maybe a shelter near you does too.

I adopted my cat Noodles from a shelter 3 months ago, and he had a few health problems-gingivitis, loose stools,and a weird cough. They were all treated, but he still has the cough. He'll be fine all day, then while relaxing or sleeping, he suddenly coughs, loudly and deeply (like a foghorn)...
