    Difficult to clip nails

Hi there. So, we're having trouble clipping Elliot's nails. She doesn't hiss or bite or scratch, but wiggles like hell to get away, so that I can't trim them. They're getting pretty long and sharp... I used to be able to catch her while she was napping, but she's caught on to that scheme, and...

Two cats got along... now I'm not so sure...

I think it may just be that the little one always wants to be around Elliot! She follow her everywhere! However, she recently started hanging out on the top of the cat tree for some alone time. I'm hoping this will give Elliot a little more breathing room, and get Dory somewhere she's not going...

Two cats got along... now I'm not so sure...

So I posted weeks ago when I first introduced my new kitten (about 2 mo old female DSH) to resident cat (1.5 yrs female DSH), both spayed. After initial awkwardness, like, "who are YOU running around MY house?" they have been getting along just fine. Normal cat play-fighting, but nothing too...

    I love my little predator

Both of my cats are very into chasing flies in the house. I've never heard them do the chatter sound I've heard some of you talking about, but they will stalk them from room to room and leap very high to catch them in midair. Last month Dory was able to snatch one from about the height of my...

does your houses alpha cat always win playfights?

Our little kitten Dory has so much energy, we can't figure out if she has taken the Alpha role from Elliot, of if it's just good ol kitten enthusiam! Dory might grow into the role, but for now it seems like a cat democracy....

    Seth caught a mouse!

I am just DREADING the day my BF and I move into a place that has mice! Last time I found a mouse in my apt, it was pre-cat, and I stood on a chair cringeing while my bf scooped it up and put it in the trash! I think my kitten would be a good little hunter, tho....

Introducing a kitten to a cat

When we brought 8 week old kitten Dory home to our 1-yr old girl Elliot, we brough Dory into the living room in her carrier, and let Elly come up and look, sniff, etc. Dory obviously wanted to come out and play! Elly's tail puffed up, but there was no hissing (I've never heard her hiss in the 10...

kitten obessed with older cats tail?

My new kitten does this to our 1.5-year old ALL the time. Our oldest handles the kittly play very well, and gets up and walks away once she's had enough. But sometimes she'll turn her head around and watch the kitten swipe at her tail as it moves--- sometimes I think she's "daring" her to play!

    Why do the bury food?

I'm new to this forum-- can I just say, what a great resource! You guys are great. Anyway, I recently noticed this too. Last weekend we adopted a 10 week old kitten to be a companion for our 1.5 year old sweet little girl Elliot. The kitten, Dory, seems to have this habit, and it looks like...
