Bixby stunk when we got him, and it took him over a month for it to "wear off." We believe it was the difference in food quality, as his fur is much softer now as well. It wasn't a poop smell, though, more like cat BO.

I agree with the sentiment that there are many breeds that need good breeders, and the other aspect of that is the fact that any breeder is going to get some "pet quality" cats. If you're in the middle of nowhere, and you're breeding a popular breed, you will have a hard time placing those pet...

Juniper's ears were getting a little gross, and the vet cleaned his ears when we went in for his neuter. They were getting pretty bad again, so what we did to keep them clean was get another kitten. Took a few weeks but now they're much cleaner (ok ear cleaning wasn't the only reason we got him)
