My 3 yr old cat Tiger has been diagnosed with idiopathic diarrhea. The vet said they don't normally have a full life and that I should start feeding him non-diet food. I've been feeding him Iams weight control for awhile now. Does anyone know anything about this disease? How long he might live...

Yes, he is fat. You cant really tell when his walking, but when hes sitting or laying down, you can def. tell. And he's pretty dang heavy

Hi! Sorry I haven't updated. Tiger is doing good now, he apparently had subclinical pneumonia and the vet gave me some Clavamox to give him. He's doing so much better already! Thanks everyone

Update: so last night before I went to bed, i saw some green diarrhea (i think) on the fur around Tiger's butt, I'm not sure what that might mean, but I took him in this morning and the vets are keeping him overnight so they can check a stool sample. He didn't have a fever when I brought him in...

Oh, believe me, I wish I could but my parents say strictly outside. Dad doesnt like cats and mom doesn't like the shedding, scratching..We have around 11 outside cats, alot of strays come over cause i feed them, so..But yeah..I'd love it if he could stay inside.
