good idea on the milk...will she take to kittens that are not hers? Can anyone tell me if it is normal for her to meow kinda like she was in heat after delivery? Or is it possible to be in heat already?

Katie- thanks for the info, never thought of seeing if I could foster...my children would love this as they were as disappointed as I was to not have kittens...and I am a huge animal lover...have to stop myself from taking in strays..will check into this as soon as I have her spayed. Thanks again

Well took her to the vet this morning and the stillborn kitten...that is all she had and it was premature...as I thought it was little and had hardly any hair...disappointed that she only had 1 but I guess now is the time to spay here since I am keeping her...Thanks for all your help

Well she unfortunately is a stray and is very petite the vet said she is about 2 years old. Vet said this is her first litter and she didn't seem big enough to start delivering...I was told more like 1-2 weeks from now..did call emergency vet and like you said they just told me to watch for...

she delivered the placenta and started to clean it...but we did remove it before she could chew the cord...she is not pushing at all that I can tell. Has been 5 hours since the still born...

just drops of blood is all...and she is walking around...meowing doesn't seem to be in pain...have not felt any contractions since right after the stillborn...is it possible for her to only have 1? Also heard they can stop their labor for 24 hours....she is being so loving which is unlike her...

Came home yesterday to my baby girl bleeding and not wanting me to leave her sight...24 hours later first kitten arrives stillborn...been 3 hours no other kittens yet but she is still bleeding and stomach is huge...is there a way to tell if they are stuck? She still is not wanting me to leave...
