It's hard to tell with the lighting, but he does appear to be a blue lynx point. From what I've observed it's natural for lynx point, or all tabby cats really, to have some trace of brown on their coat [it's kind of a throw back to their African Wild-cat roots].
Cats become overweight from one culprit-consuming more calories then she burns. A cats metabolism changes as they age. You probably just need to adjust the amount of calories she eats, now that she's an adult. I'd talk to your vet about what her ideal weight is, and how much calories she needs...
I'm not 100% positive that these will work but here's some tactics to try so the experience is easier for her
-don't suddenly put it on her. Allow her to sniff the cone. Have something you say that let's her know it's time to wear the cone.
-Use a lot of treats or a special food such as Tuna

I'd say that looks fairly decent. It does look slightly agitated in some areas though, so I'd continue using the cone.
As long as she's eating well, having normal bowl movements, and high in energy, I wouldn't worry about it.
