Yes for wet food they are on fussie cat. I mix up a bit with dry like during supper or lunch. Previously the dry was royal canin n I only just changed to hill's. They are both up and running about now which is a good sign. I am guessing that princess is just having a reaction to the increased...
Seems like the increase in feeding is causing them a bit of indigestion. Maori had loose bowels for the 1st time ever but thankfully now it's back to normal. His stomach was feeling so bloated and tight that i thought he was gonna explode. He skipped dinner and has resumed normal business for...
Thanks for the advice Tabby. Will increase their feed..Don't want them to go hungry...No wonder princess is always jumping onto my dining table and chewing my toes and fingers!
Wow 7 cans of wet food for 1 kitten per day!
Haha sorry...I'm really shocked....
So this means that i've been constantly underfeeding them for the past 2 months....gosh...
Been feeding them like 1/4 can per feed. And i only feed them wet food 2 times a day. So effectively they only finish 1...
Just did a bit of reading on how much to feed....
Fussie cat website indicates the following:
- For a kitten that is 3 pounds, i.e. princess: She would require about 180kcal per day. 1 can of 80g is equivalent to 49kcal. I would need to feed her approximately 3.5 cans of 80g cans to meet her...
I'm feeding my 4 month old persian about 40g i.e. 1/2 a small can of wet food per day.
I'm also adding in dry food in between the feeds.
Is that sufficient or too little?
Hi Tabby,
Both Maori(male) and Princess(female) are coming to 4.5 months. They weight about 1.8kg and 1.4kg.
And yes it's about 80g per day...mixed up with some dry food between 2 kittens....
Basically, the both of them eats 1 can (combined) a day with some dry food...You figure thats too little?
Hey Tabby,
Sorry for the delayed response.
It's been a week since the last incident happened. So now she's fine already.
She's been on probiotics, antibiotics as well as anti-diarrhoea pills. Stools have gone back to normal and no more puking.
I'm suspecting that she was either suffering...
That's her poop and puke. Read somewhere that deworming might have an effect onher bowels and might even cause puking...she's still on antibiotics. There's also anti diarrhoea pills, another anti diarrhoea liquid and prebiotics. Quite a lot of medication now for her. The vet said to observe her...
Hi all. She's back with the soft stool again. In fact we just went to the vet today after she had a pooping accident last night. Did her deworming and x-ray as well as fecal sample to check for remaining parasite. After coming back from the vet, I fed her meds and her dinner. About 2 hours later...
